Alex at Top Touch is top notch. A first class job of bringing my tired Volvo 240 back to life and at rates that are not going to break the bank. Also great advice on what work needed, and didn't need, to be done. Since then, the 240 has been my main drive and I'm currently driving it 100s of miles all over the Baltics without missing a beat.

Alex took my capri on when even though he was busy, my illness meant i had a timescale...he worked so many hours above and beyond in order to comple the restoration..he listened to my needs, he understood what was needed and also added ideas I hadnt thought of..his work ethic is superb, his attention to detail is so sharp...the capri needed more than we he had anticipated and he still took it in his stride...
The finished product was more than i had hoped for and allowed me a few really enjoyable and proud months of ownership..it drew club show and national magazine attention....
If we dont support and trust these smaller businesses and the passionate people behind them, we dont get the pride in the work we need...Alex will give you this..

Alex Cox

“Every car that comes through the door gets the same treatment — as if it were my own.”

Alex has been obsessed with cars since childhood, spending weekends in garages pulling engines apart and putting them back together. A lifelong classic Ford enthusiast, he cut his teeth restoring Escorts, Capris, and everything in between.

What started as a passion project in a mate’s lock-up evolved into Top Touch Coachworks — a fully equipped workshop in Milton Keynes dedicated to giving classic and modern cars the love they deserve. From bare-metal resprays to full ground-up restorations, Alex brings the same care and eye for detail to every job, whether it’s a concours-level Capri or a daily driver that needs a freshen up.

When he’s not in the booth spraying, you’ll find him on the 2 Skint 2 Scrap YouTube channel documenting builds, sharing tips, and proving you don’t need a massive budget to create something special.
